On Saturday, August 30, 2014 students from St. Mary's College came to the Ridge Volunteer Fire Department and rendered community service. They cleaned apparatus, utilities and the fire prevention trailer. A lot was accomplished and they enjoyed their visit to Company 4. A tour of the fire house was in order, conducted by Safety Officer Francis Raley.
Members taking part in this event were Safety Officer Francis Raley, Captain Justin Raley and fire fighter George Franklin.
Before the day was over, an ice bucket challenge ensued and everybody came away the winner.
