The members of the Ridge Volunteer Fire Department are in process of replacing the current 1977 Ford Tanker (Tanker 4) with a 2011 Peterbuilt, Model 367 Dry Side Tanker. This new piece of apparatus will be built by Pierce Manufacturing Inc. and is expected to take delivery late August or early September of this year. The final manufacturer drawing is shown below. Other features include a 1250 GPM Waterous CS Pump, 3000 gallon water tank, Husky 3 Foam system with 4 discharges, 40 gallon foam tank, (2) 200' preconnect attack lines, 400' of 3&4" supply line, 200' reel of 1" booster hose, side mount hydraulic drop down rack for suction hose and a Folda Tank drop down rack for a portable folding tank. The unit will be powered by a Cummins ISX-15 engine with an Allison Transmission. We plan to post more pictures as we make progress. |
