The Ridge Volunteer Fire Department was invited to particapate in the Ridge Volunteer Rescue Squad's first annual Cow Pie Bingo, held at the Flat Iron Farm. We made presentations through out the day in the Fire Prevention trailer. There also was a car show with quite a few entrants, of which our own Dickie Wood competed. There were a few food vendors all with great tasting food. There also were several raffles going and helped make the fund raiser very successful. Co. 49 had thier beautiful restored Ambulance on display. But the real stars of the show were the cows. Many spectators urged them on to do what comes naturally and they did not let the people down.
Members attending were: Vice President James Raley, Life Members Snookie Raley, Peggy Vallandingham, Auxiliary Member Mary Wise, Associate Member Frieda Franklin and Firefighter George Franklin..
