| Ridge VFD is proud to announce that our department and members were recognized with multiple prestigious honors at the 2026 Maryland State Firefighters Association’s (MSFA) 134th Convention & Conference in Ocean City.
Highlights from the June 23rd conference include:
• Outstanding Act of Heroism: Chief Bradley Cooper was awarded the prestigious George W. Colburn, Jr. Colburn Cup.
• Statewide Excellence: Ridge VFD tied for 1st Place Overall in Maryland for our Fire Prevention program.
• Leadership & Service Nominations: Firefighters recognized as state-level nominees:
- Firefighter Holton Bickel - Past President C. Oscar Baker Rookie of the Year Award.
- Firefighter Lilly Keister - William E. “Rudy” Radisch Firefighter of The Year Memorial Award.
- Firefighters Holton Bickel and Kermit Tillett - Next Generation Leadership Award.
